I saw this a couple of weeks ago on TV and pretty much FREAKED, lol. I think its so awesome, a local Miami artist, especially Rachel Goodrich is being used for such a campaign.
I know Ive posted this before, but this shit is just too funny. Bitch got what she deserved, not really, imo she deserved a lot worse.
Metric - Between The Bars (Elliot Smith cover.)
umm, can Emily get any more beautiful? god I love her. She needs to join BSS on their next album.

Taking a break from studying, anyone want a hit?

This is me now…tired, hungry and I still have a loooooooong time to go.
This is how I felt early today…I was ready to tackle my studying and papers.
it was SO hot
I wrote ^this a year ago. Last night all I kept thinking about was this night and everything you said and everything we did. I miss having that hope. I dont like you anymore, but I cant explain these confused “feelings.” Its hard living with them and its hard living with you.
There was A LOT of good music out there this year and not everything could fit in my Top 5. With that said there were some honorable mentions (5-10 in no particular order)
Animal Collective-Merriwether Post Pavilion. —>This CD was awesome but it didnt make spot 5 specifically because Neon Indian and that sound is something I fell in love with this year. From Memory Tapes to my other personal favorite of the year Washed Out.Pains of Being Pure At Heart - Pains of Being Pure At Heart. —> Watching them live and being the manager that night gave me a whole new perspective on the band. I loved (and love) everything about them. Their catchy poppy tunes were a summer favorite.Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It’s Blitz.—> I find nothing wrong with this album, this is the sound of now (if that makes sense), I like this new sound, personally. On one hand you have great dance songs like “Heads Will Roll” to beautiful ballads, “Soft Shock”, “Runaway.” I feel like this is a good direction for them and cant wait to see them live…one day! Passion Pit - Manners.—> I was HIGHLY anticipating this album and it its release. I loved their EP “Chunk of Change” last fall. And with every leaking song I was loving the direction and sound more and more. To say the least when I finally bought the album and heard it in its entirety it was kinda…underwhelming? But the more I listened to the album the more I fell in love with it. It ended up being on constant rotation this spring and early summer and I still jam to many tracks off “Manners.” La Roux - La Roux. —>I randomly downloaded La Roux one day this summer and instantly fell in love. I loved everything about it, the beats, the throwback 80’s sound, “Bulletproof,” “Tigerlily” ,”Im Not Your Toy” everythinggg. It was so fucking catchy, fun and dancy
NOW ON TO THE TOP 5
5.Neon Indian - Psychic Chasms.—>I had a hard time picking between Neon Indian and Washed Out, both had phenomenal releases this year. “Psychic Chasms” was a more complete album and some of my favorite tracks of the year come off this CD. Seeing them live and for my birthday gives them the edge! I fell in love with this sound this year, I know I mentioned this already. But everything about it makes it so good.
4.Lady Gaga -The Fame Monster.—>Lady Gaga is probably my favorite artist of the year. She is doing shit that no one else is even trying to do. People say she’s crazy and I dont doubt that. That is why I fucking love her, her “craziness” should not discredit her as a performance artist. “The Fame” her first release in 2008 is what brought attention to her. While touring with this album she needed to write and record. Subsequently making “The Fame Monster.” A release which, in my opinion, is far superior than “The Fame” as a whole. She takes her dance songs where her previous songs never reached. Her ballads and songwriting on the album is amazing. I cannot wait to see her in January.
3.Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest.—>Grizzly Bear have been personal favorites for quite some time so when I found out Veckatimest leaked, I felt bad, I felt terrible. LOL as lame as it sounds I knew how hard they were working on that album and how anticipated it was. To say the least it leaked weeks before its official release date. Following the leak It instantly became everyones favorite album of 2009. And one of mine favorites. I wish I would have seen them this summer when they came to Atlanta but didnt. This album is spot on, in everything it attempts and accomplishes. If you have already found a copy of the album, get it now!
2.Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.—>This obsession started over the summer, it became full blown early this fall. I listened to this album NON-STOP. Each song left me wanting more and each proceeding song delivered. It was a great, up beat, feel good, dance album and a go to whenever starting a playlist
1. The xx - xx.—>I dont even know where to start with this band/album. I started listening to them heading into CMJ and became obsessed after all the coverage during the week. It amazed me to know that they’re a group of 20 year olds. It further amazed how moved I became when listening to their music, I made such a connection to this album. It is the perfect, chill, have your headphones on-while walking campus in the cold kinda music. I hope to see them live soon…I’m hoping for either WMC or Ultra. ::crosses fingers::
